Chevy Announces ZR1X Pricing Alongside An Exclusive Limited Edition
The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X has officially landed, bringing with it outrageous performance and a surprisingly accessible price—at least by supercar standards.
Key Points
- The 2026 ZR1X delivers hypercar performance—233 mph top speed and 1,250 horsepower—at a fraction of the cost of European exotics.
- Priced over $100K less than the Mustang GTD and dramatically cheaper than Lamborghinis and Ferraris, the ZR1X positions itself as the ultimate performance value.
- Chevrolet will debut a limited-run ZR1X Quail Silver Edition with factory matte paint and upgraded performance hardware at The Quail on August 15.
With 1,250 horsepower, a 233-mph top speed, a Nürburgring record, and a starting price of $207,395, the 2026 ZR1X has changed what it means to be a performance bargain in the modern era.
When the C8 Corvette debuted in 2020, Chevrolet made headlines with its sub-$60,000 sticker price—the current base model now starts closer to $80,000—the C8 has scaled the performance ladder just as quickly. The ZR1X doesn’t just dethrone its domestic rivals like the Ford Mustang GTD—it scalps heavy exotics like Lamborghini’s Revuelto and Temerario, McLaren’s W1, and even Ferrari’s upcoming F80.
All of those cars cost substantially more, with some reaching into the multimillion-dollar range. For those counting, the ZR1X is still more than $100,000 cheaper than the Mustang GTD, while delivering significantly more power and a faster lap time.
Model | Price |
|---|---|
ZR1X Coupe | $207,395 |
ZR1X Convertible | $217,395 |
ZR1X 3LZ Coupe | $218,395 |
ZR1X 3LZ Convertible | $228,395 |
If the standard ZR1X coupe or convertible isn't enough, Chevrolet also just announced a special Quail Silver Limited Edition.
Priced at $241,395, the exclusive C8 will debut at The Quail during Monterey Car Week in August. Dipped in a stunning Blade Silver Matte paint job—a nod to the original C1 Corvette’s Inca Silver finish—it also gets unique interior trimmings in Sky Cool and Medium Ash Gray with Habanero accents.
The 3LZ convertible-only model gets the ZR1X's full ZTK performance package, with carbon-fiber aero, stiffer suspension tuning, and Michelin Pilot Cup 2R tires. It’s the first time in 60 years that Chevrolet has offered a factory matte paint option on a Corvette.

Cheaper and performance value are both relative terms,
Takes a lot more than brute power to make a Hypercar and at the end of the day, $207,395 starting price is a lot of money for a Chevy.
The Vette Is an honestly good offering by GM that should not be compared with anything else .
The real problem is, it's still a GM. At least twice GM has known about problems with some of their cars & done nothing about it until the feds forced them to do a recall. I just can't trust them.
