These Are The SUVs No One Wants

Considering their popularity in the automotive marketplace, you may think that every single SUV an automaker can build is going to fly off the showroom floor. But that’s hardly the case.
With hundreds of unique models on sale in North America, it’s only natural that some sport utility vehicles are going to be less popular than others. Mainstream models like the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Ford Explorer and Chevrolet Tahoe sell in droves and generate a lot of interest online. Others, like the 10 SUVs down below, are more specialized models, some of which have price tags that put them well out of reach for the average new car buyer.
This list was compiled using data provided exclusively to AutoGuide via AutoFinder.com — an automotive marketplace featuring over 3 million new and used vehicle listings, connecting consumers with top dealerships nationwide to easily find and secure the best deal on a car, truck, or SUV.

Three Audis, three Cadillacs, two Volvos, a Ford, and a Bentley. We’re a bit surprised to see the Audi Q5 on the list of the least-researched SUVs, considering how well it sells, but the two SQ8 models make sense on the list. Same for the three Caddy models – the high-performance V-badged electric SUVs are anything but mainstream and are targeted at a specific subset of buyers. And the Bentley Bentayga's stratospheric pricing is going to hold back its online interest.
That leaves the Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid and the two Volvo Recharge models. We already knew buyers were losing interest in the Ford Escape lineup – the Escape is set to be canceled after a 25-year production run – and Volvo’s XC60 and XC90 Recharge models are quite nice but have to go to bat against some pretty stiff competition.
