2019 Honda HR-V Has a New Face and New Equipment
The Honda HR-V was only introduced for the 2016 model year, but already Honda has applied a number of updates to the subcompact crossover.
Most apparent are the exterior changes, which include a more aggressive front fascia designed to make the HR-V look a bit more like other recently updated Honda products such as the Odyssey.
Cosmetic revisions were just the start, though, with Honda updating and refining the HR-V’s CVT transmission and optional all-wheel-drive system. There’s also a new variable-ratio electronic steering rack and additional sound deadening for a more comfortable ride.

Interior changes are light, but the 2019 HR-V does get a new available ‘Display Audio’ touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Honda Sensing also comes standard on all models except for the base LX, adding a suite of driver assist technologies such as collision mitigation braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, road departure warning and road departure mitigation.
The 2019 Honda HR-V will go on sale on July 24th. Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date, Honda says.
