2019 Subaru Forester Teased One Last Time
The 2019 Subaru Forester will make its debut in New York City this week, but the new compact crossover has been teased on last time prior to its big reveal.
This teaser is similar to the previous teaser image Subaru showed us, also showing a portion of the vehicle’s right rear taillight. This image gives us a little bit more to work with, though, also showing off a black rear bumper/diffuser with an integrated exhaust tip and silver trim. The Forester is also painted in a nice forest green shade and is wearing a ‘Touring’ badge, indicating the Forester will be offered in range-topping Touring trim from launch.

The new Forester will share Subaru’s Global Platform with the Impreza and Crosstrek. Under the hood will be a four-cylinder boxer engine, which will probably be paired with symmetrical all-wheel drive and a CVT automatic transmission. We’re not expecting any surprises on the powertrain front – this is Subaru after all.
Full details on the 2019 Subaru Forester will be available Wednesday.

I think it looks like more of the Ascent than station wagon.
How about a high performance Forester option? The car needs a turbocharged 6 cylinder engine option. If not that, at least bump the turbocharged 4 cylinder up to 2.5 liters instead of 2.0. It would be a lot more fun with more power. BTW, I own a 2016 2.0 turbocharged.
