The New Rolls-Royce Phantom is so Quiet You Can Record Music in It
Rolls-Royce is now showing us just how quiet its eight-generation Phantom is by getting British rap/grime artist Skepta to record a new song in the full-size luxury sedan. Skepta, a Mercury Music Prize and MOBO award-winning musician, recorded the track ‘Skepta RR’ in the back of the Phantom whilst being chauffeured along the banks of Lake Lucerne and through the mountains of Switzerland. The track is inspired by the serene, peaceful experience of riding in a Phantom, the automaker says.
“I want to welcome Skepta to the World of Rolls-Royce,” said company CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös. “He has shown a unique and exciting appreciation of the marque and interpreted Phantom’s credentials as the world’s quietest and most luxurious motor car with an exceptionally creative track and film.”

You can watch Skepta record his new track in the Phantom in the video embedded below. We wouldn’t be shocked to see Skepta, or perhaps his Canadian collaborator Drake, buy one of these new Phantoms. After all, what other car doubles as both a recording studio and an ultra-luxurious mode of transportation?
