2018 GMC Terrain Priced From $25,970

Once the 2018 GMC Terrain reaches dealerships you’ll be able to take one home for $25,970 (excluding $975 destination charge), the brand just announced.

Base model SL’s bring GMC’s new-look LED lighting both front and back, a new 170-horsepower, 1.5-liter turbo-four hooked to GM’s new nine-speed automatic transmission; the brand’s driver-controllable Traction Select Rolodex system; and the customary OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

You just won’t be able to get one like that right away.

When GMC’s all-new compact crossover officially goes on sale this summer early buyers will only be offered the 252-hp 2.0-liter turbo with the 1.5 and a 1.6-liter diesel arriving later.

The $28,795 SLE and $32,295 SLT both offer the 2.0-liter turbo as an optional upgrade, but the top-of-the-line $38,496 Terrain Denali straps in the 2.0-liter as standard kit–you can add AWD for a further $1,749.

The Denali brings the bling the subbrand’s known for with exclusive 19-inch “ultra-bright” machined aluminum wheels, chrome grille and brightwork body accents; plus unique interior treatments and a suite of standard safety features like blind zone alert, cross traffic alerts, park assist and everyone’s favorite vibrating safety seat.

The Opel-sourced 1.6-liter diesel will be a $3,770 option available starting with the $32,565 SLE Diesel FWD but only gets as fancy as the $36,890 SLT Diesel AWD with GMC choosing not to offer an oil burner with Denali models.
