Romain Dumas has won two of the most prestigious auto racing events in the span of just one week: the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

After capturing the Le Mans title last week with Porsche, Dumas made the run up Pikes Peak in 8:51.445, fast enough to claim overall victory. He was driving the 2016 Norma M20 RD Limited race car in the Unlimited class. “Pikes Peak is always an adventure, and it was again the case this year,” Dumas wrote in a Facebook post. “Victory is at the end, we come in under 9 minutes despite a hose breakthrough and small trouble of brakes on the end, so the satisfaction is in order. It hasn’t been easy, but we fought together.”

Last year’s winner, Rhys Millen, placed second overall, making the run about six seconds slower than Dumas.

Acura is celebrating a win in the Time Attack 2 class with a production-based NSX, which made the run in 10:28.820. This was the Acura NSX’s first race on North American soil. Acura also campaigned an NSX-inspired EV, which came in third overall posting a time of 9:06.015.

This was the 100th running of the Pikes Peak hill climb.
