FBI Issues Public Service Announcement About Tesla

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has issued a public service announcement regarding the recent violent incidents targeting Tesla vehicles and dealerships across the United States. The attacks, which include arson, gunfire, and vandalism, have occurred in at least nine states since January 2025.
The FBI is urging the public to remain vigilant and asking people to report any suspicious activity near Tesla facilities.
Key Points
- The FBI has released a public alert warning of arson, gunfire, and vandalism targeting Tesla vehicles and facilities
- The attacks are linked to public backlash against Elon Musk’s role in the Trump administration as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which has implemented widespread federal job cuts.
- Tesla has activated Sentry Mode on all parked vehicles to aid in identifying vandals, as dealerships and service centers have already been targeted.
The FBI calls the ongoing violence against everything Tesla "grievances against those the perpetrators perceive to be racists, fascists, or political opponents." The PSA asserts all actions have been taken by lone offenders, and warns the public to beware of "rudimentary tactics, such as improvised incendiary devices and firearms."
The FBI even provided a handy list of tell-tales to watch out for—violent threats made online referencing specific Tesla properties, examining security measures at Tesla dealerships, photography of security-related equipment or personnel at Tesla dealerships, unusual surveillance or interest in Tesla-related entities and attempts to gain access to restricted areas or bypass security measures at Tesla-related properties.
The attacks have coincided with escalating displeasure with Tesla CEO Elon Musk's role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a position appointed by President Donald Trump. DOGE aims to reduce government spending and streamline operations—so far the effort has been riddled with controversy on both sides of the political spectrum amid layoffs and program cuts.
In response to the escalating violence, Attorney General Pam Bondi has warned that individuals engaging in such activities will face severe legal consequences. She specifically cautioned Rep. Jasmine Crockett, who has been vocal in supporting protests against Tesla, to "tread very carefully" in her actions. Last week charges were laid against three individuals tied to arson attacks at Tesla dealerships and charging stations. They potentially face between 5 and 20 years in jail.
The FBI is investigating the recent arson attack at a Tesla collision center in Las Vegas, where multiple vehicles were shot and set on fire. Tesla has implemented enhanced security measures, including activating the camera-based Sentry Mode on all vehicles parked at service or collision centers, along with inventory and vehicles awaiting delivery.
The FBI advises Tesla owners and dealership staff to remain alert and report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement or their nearest FBI field office. The Bureau's announcement does not specifically mention domestic terrorism.

Tesla is spying on anyone within the vicinity of a Tesla at all times without warrant. Sounds like dictator 101 to me. These "violent attacks" which have resulting in 0 attacks on humans or injuries. That's called vandalism. Attacking police officers on Jan 6 was a true violent attack. This is an excuse to spy on Americans so they can target people who don't blindly follow the Putin/Musk/Trump agenda. Don't eat what you're spoon fed.
