Honda Shares More Details About 2026 Passport TrailSport
Honda is set to launch one of its most off-road-capable SUVs to date with the 2026 Passport TrailSport.
Expanding on a series of teasers, Honda says the Passport's TrailSport variant will come equipped with 18-inch wheels paired with 31-inch all-terrain tires, while bright orange front tow hooks and a shortened front overhang improve both its visual presence and approach angles for off-road driving.
One of the key upgrades for the TrailSport is the introduction of the TrailWatch system. Borrowed from the larger Pilot TrailSport, this setup uses four cameras (front, rear, side, and 360-degree) to help drivers navigate tricky off-road terrain. The system also includes tire-path and vehicle-body guidelines, giving drivers better awareness of obstacles like deep ruts and crests.
Additionally, Honda is offering a broad range of new accessories designed specifically for off-roading. These include rock sliders, an aluminum front scuff plate, and the MOLLE storage system, which adds extra utility to the cargo area for Overlanding.
The 2026 Passport TrailSport will be fully unveiled later this fall, with availability expected in early 2025. With these enhancements, Honda is positioning the Passport TrailSport as a more serious contender in the off-road SUV market.
