2026 Subaru Outback Wilderness: All The Details
Subaru has unveiled the 2026 Outback Wilderness, introducing a new iteration of its most off-road-oriented model with revised styling, chassis upgrades, and added trail capability. Scheduled to arrive in early 2026, the updated Wilderness builds on the existing Outback platform but pushes further into all-terrain territory.
Distinguishing itself from the standard Outback, the Wilderness version features new exterior and interior designs along with increased ride height. Ground clearance rises to 9.5 inches, and the suspension has been overhauled with electronically controlled dampers tuned specifically for rougher terrain. A set of all-terrain tires comes standard.
Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive remains a core component of the Wilderness package, complemented by the latest version of the brand’s X-Mode traction system. Designed for low-grip conditions, X-Mode manages throttle, brakes, and all-wheel drive torque distribution to help maintain traction on dirt, snow, or uneven surfaces.
Details on powertrain options and pricing will be released closer to the Wilderness model’s on-sale date in 2026.
