Aston Martin Unveils 2025 Vantage Roadster

Aston Martin has unveiled the 2025 Vantage Roadster.
Designed and built alongside the coupe, Aston Martin was able to keep the convertible's weight increase to a minimum—the 2025 Vantage Roadster tips the scales at just 132 pounds more than the fixed-roof model—allowing the Roadster to maintain a 49:51 front-to-rear weight distribution.
Power comes from Aston’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, delivering 656 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, the Roadster sprints to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 202 mph.

The car features a Z-fold fabric roof, chosen for its lighter weight compared to a traditional K-fold design. This design eliminates the need for a tonneau cover, reducing weight further and keeping the center of gravity low. Aston claims the roof is the fastest automatic folding convertible mechanism in the market, opening or closing in just 6.8 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph.
Aston Martin says the team reinforced the Roadster's chassis with weight-optimized shear panels along with recalibrating the rear damper software logic to maintain the same rigidity. The suspension and gearbox mounts were also fine-tuned to accommodate the changes in mass and weight distribution.
Stopping comes from a standard steel brake system with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers—an optional carbon ceramic brake are also available.
Inside, the 2025 Vantage Roadster comes fitted with an 11-speaker, 390-watt audio system, with the option to upgrade to a premium Bowers & Wilkins system. Cargo space is reduced to 7.1 cubic feet compared to the coupe’s 12.2, a trade-off for the folding roof.
Customers can personalize their Roadsters with new colors such as Iridescent Sapphire, Satin Iridescent Sapphire, and Bronze Flare, alongside roof options in black, red, blue, or black-and-silver. There are four different wheel designs and seven brake caliper color choices—further bespoke options are available through Aston Martin’s Q customization program.
Deliveries for the 2025 Vantage Roadster are expected to begin in the second quarter of the year, though pricing details were not released.
