Jeep Grand Cherokee Recalled For Coil Springs That Could Fall Off
Stellantis has issued a new recall covering certain Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L models due to a potential suspension-related assembly issue.
According to Chrysler’s FCA US division, some 2021–2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L SUVs, along with 2022–2023 two-row Grand Cherokees, may have rear coil springs that were incorrectly installed during production. If a spring is not properly seated, it could detach from the vehicle while driving. The automaker is not aware of any crashes or injuries related to this recall.
Dealers will inspect the rear coil spring assemblies and repair them as necessary, free of charge.
Interim owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 12, 2026, with a second round of letters to follow once the final remedy is available, which Stellantis anticipates in March 2026.
Owners can contact FCA US customer service at 1-800-853-1403. The recall is listed internally as number 20D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) became searchable on NHTSA’s website on January 30, 2026.
This recall replaces a previous campaign, NHTSA recall number 23V413, and vehicles that were already repaired under the earlier recall will still need to return for the updated fix.

So they had a prior recall for the same issue but didn't fix it right so now they have to do it again?!
Stellantis wants to dump Chrysler, I can see why. Maybe Ontario should purchase the company and start building things properly.
