Toyota Recalls Several Models Over Improper Weight Labels
Toyota is recalling several of the brand's vehicles over improper load carrying capacity labels that may display inaccurate added weight values.
Although fewer than 10,000 vehicles are affected, they include certain 2024-2025 Toyota Tundra, Tacoma Hybrid, Tacoma, RAV4 Hybrid, Land Cruiser Hybrid, Lexus GX550, 2024-2026 Tundra Hybrid, 2025 Sequoia Hybrid, Crown Signia, Grand Highlander, Lexus TX500 Hybrid, Lexus NX350 Hybrid, 2025-2026 Grand Highlander Hybrid, and Lexus TX350 vehicles. Having a vehicle operated over weight can be unsafe as it overloads the wheels and tires, and may cause an increased chance of a collision.
For these affected models, Toyota/Lexus dealers will replace the load-carrying capacity label free of charge. The owners of affected vehicles should have notification letters mailed by May 9, 2026. In the meantime, owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331.
