Volkswagen Recalling 38,710 Taos SUVs
Volkswagen is recalling just under 39,000 versions of the small 2025-2026 Taos SUVs. The issue involves the fuel pressure sensor that may dislodge or separate from the fuel tank in the event of a rear-end crash. If this occurs, the Taos would no longer be compliant with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 301, "Fuel System Integrity."
To fix the issue, Volkswagen dealers will install a fuel pressure sensor wiring harness extension, free of charge. Owners of these affected SUVs should get a letter mailed to them by June 19, 2026. For the time being, customers can contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298.
