Hyundai Recalls 2026 Palisade Again For New 3rd Row Seating Issue

It seems the 2026 Hyundai Palisade can't catch a break.

After Hyundai issued a stop sale and recall on 2026 Limited and Calligraphy trims to resolve a power rear seat issue, the manufacturer has now issued another recall on 46,787 Limited and Calligraphy versions of the 2026 Hyundai Palisade and 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid.

The issue has to do with internal wiring within the third-row driver-side seat belt buckle. These wires may get damaged and permanently display a passenger is belted into the third-row driver-side seat on the instrument panel (even if it is vacant).

To fix this problem, Hyundai dealers will install a wiring harness extension and replace the seat belt assembly, as necessary, free of charge. For owners with affected vehicles, a notification letter should be mailed on May 18, 2026. For the time being, owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460.
