Ford is recalling close to 180,000 versions of the 2024-2026 Ranger pickup truck and Bronco SUV. The recall centers around the front seats, where there may be a loose or dislodged seat frame height-adjust pivot bolt.

To fix the problem, Ford dealers will inspect and replace the pivot links and bolts as necessary, free of charge. Letters about the safety risk should be mailed out on May 11, 2026, to affected owners. Letters with a recall fix will also be mailed out at a later date. For now, customers can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 if they have any questions.
