Range Rover Sport Celebrates 20 Years with TWENTY Edition

Range Rover is marking 20 years of the Range Rover Sport with the introduction of the Range Rover Sport TWENTY Edition. This limited-run model serves as a nod to the vehicle’s design and performance history, featuring unique “TWENTY” detailing, a flagship powertrain, and performance seats sourced from the Range Rover Sport SV.

The Range Rover Sport was introduced in the early 2000s at a time when buyers were beginning to show interest in SUVs that offered stronger on-road performance. Its launch also represented a shift for the Range Rover brand, expanding it into a broader family of vehicles. Over three generations, the model has evolved in both design and technology while maintaining its focus on blending luxury with driving capability.

Technologically, the Range Rover Sport has incorporated the brand’s all-terrain systems, such as Terrain Response and Hill Descent Control, while also focusing on improved on-road dynamics. The first generation introduced features like the Dynamic Response electrohydraulic anti-roll system and Brembo brakes on V8 models, along with the adoption of an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. The second generation brought the high-performance SVR variant in 2014, developed by the Special Vehicle Operations division, as well as a hybrid version with advanced powertrain controls.

More recently, the 2023 Range Rover Sport SV became the performance flagship, featuring a 626 hp engine, 6D Dynamics suspension, eight-piston Brembo Octyma calipers, and available carbon fibre wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, and Body and Soul Seats.

The TWENTY Edition introduces a series of visual and interior updates to mark the anniversary. Exterior highlights include “TWENTY” badging, a Black Exterior Pack, and 23-inch Gloss Sparkle Silver wheels, with an optional Gloss Black finish. The model is available in Sanguinello Orange, inspired by earlier concept and launch colours, as well as Santorini Black and Ostuni White.

Inside, the vehicle features illuminated “TWENTY” treadplates and matching center console scripting. Ebony Windsor leather performance seats, derived from the Range Rover Sport SV, are paired with forged carbon veneers and a black suedecloth headlining to create a darker, more focused cabin environment.
