Honda has announced a price reduction on the 2026 Prologue all-electric SUV. Starting today, pricing drops by $7,500 across the board, on all trims. Honda’s official statement on the new lower MSRP is as follows:

“This adjustment will better align pricing with the needs of our customers and market conditions and underscores our commitment to keeping Prologue as an affordable and compelling option for shoppers considering an EV or any new vehicle.”

With the new pricing, the single motor Prologue EX trim will start at a price of $41,395 (all prices include destination charges). The single motor Touring will now start at a price of $46,695.

For dual motor, all-wheel drive models, the EX starts at $43,495, while the Touring starts at $48,495 and the Elite comes in at $51,895.

AutoGuide’s Take:

This is just the next domino to fall as Honda begins transitioning away from electric vehicles. Two weeks ago the brand canceled all future EVs while last week the co-developed Afeela car with Sony was axed. Reducing the price on the Prologue makes sense since, as we’ve previously reported, sales are slower than expected.

We quite enjoyed our time with the Prologue and hope this price reduction helps get more of these EV SUVs on the road.

Is it a coincidence that they slashed prices by the same amount as the previous tax credit? So they were previously over charging by the amount of the tax credit?
