Like the Tundra with which it shares its platform, the 2023 Toyota Sequoia was overdue for a new model.

To call the 2023 Toyota Sequoia “overdue” is an understatement.

In this country, there’s a large market for large SUVs and manufacturers are more than happy to appease these customers. Shoppers in this category seek a machine which can carry three rows of passengers, tow several thousand pounds, and has more than enough power to merge safely on the highway. For 2023, Toyota has reupped its efforts in this game, introducing a new Sequoia.

It rained special editions at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show and it looks like the Toyota stall got the most rainfall of all.

Back in late August, Toyota announced its custom vehicle build-off featuring four of its drivers: Kyle Busch, Clint Bowyer, Antron Brown, and Alexis Dejoria. Each driver has now selected their Toyota vehicle and the shop at which it’ll be built, and the customization has begun. 

In the market for a Toyota Sequoia with a 4.6L V8? Better make a move soon as the upcoming 2013 model will only be available with the 5.7L engine.
