As the fighter jets roared above, I couldn’t help but think of an iconic film of the Eighties.

Porsche builds some fine automobiles, it’s no secret, but there’s a new kid on the block that just might give their hallowed 911 a run for its money.

Coupes are a small but important segment in the automotive business. They don’t sell in huge volume but some of the most entertaining cars on the road today have just two doors.

When the  Audi TT debuted back in the late 1990s, it was as much a fashion accessory as it was an automobile. 

The luxury sports coupe segment is rather small. Many drivers these days seem to prefer the convenience of four doors. Still, there’s a lot to get excited about in this vehicle class.

The brand-new Lexus LC 500 is a spicy-looking flagship luxury coupe, a production version of the company’s LF-LC concept that debuted back in 2012.

Things don’t always go according to plan.

“How can this car be so loud?” I think to myself a split-second before its engine hits redline. Just then the dual-clutch automatic grabs the next ratio in its six-gear stack, dropping the decibels slightly though not enough to make things any less deafening.

Is this Mustang King Cobra, Fords entry in the battlefield that includes the likes of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat and the Chevrolet COPO Camaro?
