Mazda6 Recalled to Fix Faulty Tire Pressure Monitors
The Mazda6 sedan is being recalled by the company because of a problem with the tire pressure monitoring system.
About 100,000 model year 2014 and 2015 Mazda6 cars built between October 2012 and October 2014 are affected by the issue. If all four of the tires gradually lose air pressure at the same time, the system will not alert the driver and that could lead to tire failure and subsequently a crash.
The system is supposed to alert the driver of a low-pressure tire within 20 minutes of that tire dropping below 25 percent of the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended cold inflation pressure when it is working properly.

Mazda told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that it would recall the cars on October, 17 of this year, but the agency didn’t post the public notice until today.
Dealers will re-program the system free of charge.
