The 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG isn’t just getting a facelift.

The German automaker has revealed that it will add a CLS63 AMG “S” model to the lineup. Interestingly, this trim will actually be standard in the U.S.

In the S model, the CLS63 AMG’s 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 will sport 577 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque rather than the existing 550 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive will also be standard on the North American CLS63 AMG model, while in Europe, the S model will be optional along with all-wheel drive.

Mercedes has estimated that the CLS63 AMG S will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds while the seven-speed AMG Speedshift transmission has been revised for faster response. On the outside, the 2015 CLS63 AMG will benefit from the styling update the standard CLS models have received for the new model year along with AMG’s new “twin-blade” grille and its A-Wing front valence design.
