What takes 241 specialists and 5,196 components to build? The 2014 Audi R8 of course, one of the finest exotics money can buy.

Though its styling hasn’t radically changed over the years, the 2014 model year R8 tosses out the semi-automatic R tronic transmission for the automaker’s new seven-speed, S tronic transmission. Though it costs a $9,100 premium, it helps by cutting 0.3 seconds off the 60-mph sprint on the R8 V10 Plus.

Priced from $119,150 including a $1,250 delivery fee and a $3,000 gas guzzler tax, the 2014 R8 also got updated with LED headlights and optional LED lighting for the engine bay, though that’s standard on the V10 model. The V10 model also benefits in a weight loss, shedding 130 pounds thanks to carbon fiber and carbon ceramic brakes.
