Ferrari Shows Schumacher Tribute Livery for Italian Grand Prix
Scuderia Ferrari will race in a one-off livery at the Italian Grand Prix to honor the legacy of its most successful driver, Michael Schumacher. Timed to mark 30 years since Schumacher joined the team in 1996 and won his first Italian Grand Prix for Maranello, the design draws inspiration from the iconic Ferrari F310.
The Ferrari SF-26 race cars driven by Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will sport an updated visual package for the Monza weekend.
The white accents on the engine cover have been removed, returning the chassis to an all-red finish. Driver numbers switch to a retro font, positioned alongside Schumacher’s signature and personal logo on the bodywork. The BBS wheels feature a subtle gold finish on the rims to echo the magnesium wheels used during Ferrari’s mid-1990s era, while Schumacher’s signature white stars sit on the car's nose cone.
Both drivers and the trackside pit crew will also wear special red-and-white racewear throughout the race weekend.
Ferrari is also bringing several historic race cars to Monza to mark the 30-year milestone. The original 1996 F310 will sit on static display alongside the 248 F1 from 2006—Schumacher’s final season at Maranello—and the dominant F2002.
Former Ferrari teammate Rubens Barrichello and four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel will perform trackside laps of honor in the championship-winning F2002 on Saturday and Sunday.
Across his decade with Ferrari between 1996 and 2006, Schumacher started 179 races, securing 72 victories, 58 pole positions, and five consecutive World Championships from 2000 to 2004.
In a statement, the team said that Michael’s time at Ferrari was about much more than wins and titles. His relentless pursuit of perfection, attention to detail, discipline, and ability to be a true team player helped create a culture that became one of the defining characteristics of the Scuderia.

One thing that Ferrari is going to do that will make most of us shake. Our heads is to have Reuben’s and Sebastian actually drive a couple of Michael’s cars. It will rewind us all of the glorious sound of the V tens and V8 and really put an emphasis on how poorly the V6 sounds.
