2026 Volvo EX30 Cross Country Is Brand's First All-Terrain EV

Volvo has officially unveiled the 2026 EX30 Cross Country— the first time Volvo's rugged off-road treatment has been applied to an electric vehicle.
Based on the standard EX30, the Cross Country variant brings the expected upgrades, including a raised ride height, all-wheel drive, skid plates, and available all-terrain tires.
The EX30 Cross Country shares its powertrain with the standard dual-motor, all-wheel-drive EX30, delivering 422 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. It is powered by a 64.0-kWh battery pack, with Volvo estimating a range of 264 miles. When connected to a DC fast charger, it can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 26 minutes.
2026 Volvo EX30 Cross Country: All The Details
Compared to the standard EX30, the Cross Country model features a 0.7-inch suspension lift, front and rear skid plates, and flared fenders for a more rugged appearance. It also gets exclusive 18-inch wheels, with all-terrain tires available as an option.
Unique exterior touches include dark grey body panels and a topographic etching of Sweden’s Kebnekaise mountain range on the front panel. Inside, Volvo has incorporated design elements inspired by Swedish granite.
To promote the EX30 Cross Country, Volvo is offering a "Cross Country Experience" package, which includes discounts on accessories like roof baskets and mud flaps. Shoppers will also be offered the opportunity to rent a fully equipped cabin in Swedish Lapland between February 21 and March 21, 2025, where Volvo will provide a vehicle for exploring the region’s winter conditions.
The EX30 Cross Country is expected to go on sale in the U.S. later this year. Pricing has not been announced, but given that the standard EX30 Twin Motor Performance starts at $46,195, the Cross Country variant is likely to be priced around $50,000.
Production of U.S.-bound EX30 models has shifted from China to Volvo’s Ghent, Belgium facility, potentially helping the Cross Country version avoid additional import tariffs.
