Toyota Goes Totally Tubular With 2026 TRD Pro Wave Maker Color

The bright blue hue will be available on TRD Pro versions of the Tacoma, Tundra, Sequoia, and 4Runner.
Toyota hasn't forgotten about its trucks. On Friday morning the brand followed up a week of not one, not two, but three pieces of EV news with the latest exclusive color for its TRD Pro lineup. Wave Maker is a light and bright blue tone, one we welcome in a market that tends towards the monochrome.
Toyota has been doing this for a little over a decade at this point, introducing a unique color for its off-roading vehicles each year. “We had a few years of warm natural hues inspired by traditional landscapes like Terra and Mudbath as signature colors," explains Benjamin Jimenez, General Manager of CALTY Design's Ann Arbor location. "Wave Maker expresses an elemental spirit that evokes images of glacial depths and the thrill of new frontiers.”
With the most recent launch of the latest 4Runner earlier this year, all of Toyota's body-on-frame offerings now ride on the same shared TNGA-F platform. All four models use a hybrid powertrain now: the Tacoma and 4Runner make use of a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder, while the Tundra and Sequoia gain two cylinders and an extra liter of displacement.
The 2026 TRD Pro models will arrive at dealerships this autumn. Expect full equipment and pricing details closer to that on-sale time.
