The 2025 Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid is an outstanding luxury sedan, and I was impressed with its potent straight-six-cylinder engine. But don't sleep on the interior. I rolled up 300 miles for my recent review, and that meant I spent a lot of time inside.

It's a handsome setup, with an attractive balance of screens and open space. Mercedes wisely uses old-school design elements like wood, vertical vents and striping, while setting it all off with cool ambient lighting. The seats are comfortable and have excellent massages. The Burmeister sound system provides a rich soundtrack, regardless of your musical preferences.

Check out my reviews of the interior below in daylight and at night, where the screens and ambient lighting really pop.

While the 577-horsepower hybrid system led by the inline six "superstar" is the main attraction—don't sleep on the interior, though it's certainly comfortable enough to sleep in.
