Alfa Romeo has a new concept coming. The brand plans to reveal it in Paris this October during the motor show there, billing it as a "vision for the future" and a preview of the design language meant to shape its next generation of cars. The press conference is scheduled for October 12.

A single teaser image landed today. It shows what looks like the rear quarter of a low, sleek supercar, though the abstract framing makes the proportions and format hard to pin down. Alfa Romeo describes the concept as the car "every Alfista has been waiting for," created "for those who still love driving and seeking authentic experiences behind the wheel."

According to Alfa Romeo, the concept draws on three influences: Italy, sportiness, and the color red. "From these three ingredients comes a masterpiece that is unmistakably Italian and unmistakably Alfa Romeo, looking to the future with ambition and boldness," the company said in its press release.

The reveal arrives at a hard moment. Between 2022 and 2025, the Italian brand's US deliveries dropped by over 50 percent, and the slide has continued in 2026, with volume reportedly off 45 percent in the first six months of the year.

The concept's timing follows Stellantis' revised roadmap, announced in May, which named Jeep, Ram, Peugeot, and Fiat as the group's four core brands. Alfa Romeo, along with the rest of the portfolio, was designated a regional or historic brand, according to Stellantis.

Despite that shift, Alfa Romeo is preparing a new compact crossover to sit alongside the Tonale. Redesigned Stelvio and Giulia models are also expected, but not immediately, since their platforms are reportedly being reworked to make room for combustion powertrains. Alfa Romeo and Maserati will additionally design, develop, and build specialty models, an effort expected to produce cars like the 33 Stradale and MCXtrema.

The full concept will be shown next month in Paris. What it means for the brand's production lineup remains to be seen, but Alfa Romeo has positioned the car as a preview of where its future design is headed.
