Lincoln Surprises With Updated 2027 Corsair Hybrid
Reports of the Lincoln Corsair’s demise turned out to be premature. After Ford announced plans to sunset the compact luxury crossover to free up assembly capacity at its Louisville, Kentucky, plant for electric truck production, government filings hinted at a reprieve. Now, Lincoln has officially unveiled the refreshed 2027 Corsair Hybrid.
The updated crossover ditches its U.S. manufacturing roots for an import pipeline from Chongqing, China, while introducing revised styling, a trim lineup overhaul, and a potent new standard hybrid powertrain.
2027 Lincoln Corsair: All The Details
Traditional Hybrid Power Replaces the Plug-In
For 2027, the Corsair drops pure-gas and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) configurations in favor of a single, non-plug-in hybrid setup across all models.
Under the hood sits a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors, a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and standard all-wheel drive. Total system output reaches 305 horsepower—a notable jump over the 266-hp rating of the outgoing 2026 Corsair Grand Touring PHEV. However, because it skips the larger battery pack of its predecessor, the 2027 model forfeits all electric-only driving range.
Revised Exterior Styling and Minimalist Interior Updates
Visually, the 2027 Corsair receives restyled front and rear fascias that align it with Lincoln’s current design language:
- Front Fascia: A wider grille ditching the lower trim bar, paired with slimmer headlights featuring bottom-mounted LED light blades that extend into the grille mesh.
- Rear Profile: Reshaped front and rear bumpers, complemented by a restyled full-width light bar that integrates illuminated Lincoln lettering.
- Colors & Packages: Five new exterior paint options (Nocturnal Blue, Tinted Copper, Chroma Flame Red, Manhattan Green, and White Platinum), three new wheel designs ranging from 18 to 20 inches, and an available Jet Appearance Package featuring blacked-out trim.
Inside, the cabin layout carries over largely unchanged from 2026, retaining the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch central touchscreen. Upgrades are limited to a new one-piece seat design, a "Stellar Sun" interior color theme, and available 24-way power-adjustable massaging front seats on higher trims. Ford's BlueCruise hands-free highway driving assistant now comes as standard equipment across the range.
Trim Structure and U.S. Pricing
Lincoln has simplified the Corsair range down to just two trims for 2027: Premiere and Reserve. The Premiere starts at $48,790, while Reserve jumps to $55,790. While entry prices jump compared to the outgoing gas-only 2026 models due to the standardized hybrid powertrain and added technology, the $55,790 Reserve undercuts the baseline of the previous-generation Grand Touring PHEV.
Initial customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in early 2027.

Personally I wouldn't buy it, simply because it's made in China.
Buick makes an SUV in China and I won't buy that one either. Production of the Buick is coming back to the US, so I will wait for that one.
