The Lexus LS Turns 35
For over three decades, the Lexus LS has quietly gone about its business with poise, performance, and craftsmanship, prioritizing refinement and reliability.
Now entering the 2025 model year, Lexus' flagship sedan isn't reinventing itself. Under the hood, the LS 500 continues to use a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6, delivering 416 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated to a 10-speed automatic that can be dialed into different drive modes. For those who appreciate all-weather capability, the LS 500 can be optioned with a Torsen limited-slip AWD system for $3,200.
Pricing for the LS 500 starts at $81,685, including a $1,350 destination fee—$1,000 more than last year’s model. This marks a steady rise, following a $3,100 increase between the 2023 and 2024 versions.
For those seeking a touch more style, the LS 500 F Sport combines sporty design cues with premium comfort. It includes features like a heated leather steering wheel, panoramic cameras, aluminum interior trim, 20-inch wheels, and a distinct spindle grille. Pricing starts at $85,825, with all-wheel drive available for $2,450.
2025 Lexus LS 500 and LS 500h: All The Details
The hybrid LS 500h offers a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 paired with an electric MGU which is good for 354 horsepower. AWD is equipped on hybrid models as standard kit along with the Lexus Teammate system, which offers hands-free driving on select highways and automated parking capabilities.
The cabin is where the LS truly shines. Details like optional Kiriko glass trim and hand-folded pleats on the door panels exude old-world craftsmanship with modern taste. Rear-seat passengers get the royal treatment, with options for reclining seats, heat, massage, and even moonlight-inspired Haku foil trim.
Arriving at dealerships later this year, the 2025 Lexus LS continues its legacy as a refined and understated competitor in the luxury sedan market, ensuring its place atop the brand’s hierarchy while marking a significant milestone for Lexus.
