2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 Starts From $62,049 in Canada

Hyundai Canada has aggressive pricing, making its three-row more affordable than the equivalent model in America.
Hyundai Canada on Tuesday revealed pricing for the upcoming Ioniq 9 SUV. The three-row, all-electric model will be the priciest vehicle on the showroom floor when it arrives this summer—but compared to its American equivalents, it's a deal.
Both markets will feature the same specs for their respective entry-level models: an 110.3-kilowatt-hour battery pack feeding a 215-horsepower motor powering the rear wheels. In America it will be the S RWD trim; in Canada, the Essential RWD. Every other trim will gain a second motor on the front axle, boosting horsepower but eating into the 335-mile (539-kilometer) range.
America's entry point is $60,555 including destination, and US vehicles will be sourced from Hyundai's plant in Georgia. Meanwhile, Canadian Ioniq 9s will arrive from Korea, carrying a pre-tax price of $62,049 CAD.
American buyers will find a traditional trim walk for the remaining five trims. The 303-horsepower SE and SEL ring in at $64,365 and $67,920 respectively; the SEL adding useful features such as a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitor, ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, and more. There are three variants of the 422-horsepower Performance model, ranging from $72,850 to $78,090.
Canadians have two of each AWD setup. In an unusual move, both of the lower trims are the same price: $67,049 CAD lets buyers choose whether they crave more features, or more power. The Preferred AWD with Luxury Package is a big jump up to $78,549 CAD; it sticks to 303 horsepower and a seven-seat layout, while piling on the big pano roof, front-row Relaxation seats, ventilated seats in the front two rows, and more. The $83,549 CAD Preferred AWD with Ultimate Calligraphy Package is the top trim.
In both countries, the Ioniq 9 is roughly $20,000 more than the top Palisade trim.
