Dodge Finally Jailbreaks The Durango SRT Hellcat For 2026
Remember when the Durango Hellcat was supposed to be a limited one-year production special? Yeah, well, it's still alive, and for 2026 Dodge just pulled the wraps off the most customizable version of the muscle SUV it's ever built: the Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak.
Key Points
- The new Jailbreak variant offers over six million possible configuration combinations, removing typical ordering restrictions to let buyers personalize everything from wheels to brake calipers, badges, stripes, and interior trims.
- Powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8, the Jailbreak maintains its 710-horsepower output and best-in-class towing while now offering expanded personalization, premium options, and even near-limitless color choices through a special concierge service.
- U.S. Durango sales jumped 51% in Q2, prompting Dodge to further invest in the nameplate with this high-profile customization initiative.
Scheduled to arrive in the fourth quarter of this year, the Durango's Jailbreak trim rips the exact same playbook as the Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Jailbreak editions from a few years ago.
For the Durango, Dodge is offering six different wheel options, six exterior paint choices from the factory—including a new hue called Green Machine—six exterior badge colors, five seat colors with three seating configurations, five racing stripe options, and four brake caliper paint and seat belt colors.
There’s also a “Jailbreak” badge stamped into carbon fiber inside the cabin.
Want red brake calipers behind Brass Monkey wheels? Done. Prefer yellow calipers with Lights Out Y-spokes? Sure, bro, get it.
Standalone options include three-season Pirellis, a suede headliner, premium Harman Kardon audio, and a full suite of ADAS tech. Dodge says it plans to roll out a Concierge program for those who want a truly one-of-one Durango. These buyers will be able to choose from a nearly unlimited color palette—so long as the check is cashable.
Mechanically, the Jailbreak doesn’t mess with Dodge's savage formula: a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 jamming out 710 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque paired with all-wheel drive, that's it. Dodge claims the Durango remains the most powerful gas-powered three-row SUV on the market, and it’ll still dust Miatas and other playthings while towing a trailer in the left lane.
Durango sales have been on fire—up 51% in Q2 compared to Q1 of this year—and Dodge is clearly seizing the moment. Ordering for the 2026 Durango SRT Hellcat opens August 13, with deliveries expected to begin late this year.
A non-Jailbreak version of the Hellcat Durango will still be available. It's expected to feature modest updates like a new wheel design and simplified option groups.
