2027 Chrysler Pacifica Makes Debut At New York International Auto Show
Chrysler has given the Pacifica a modest refresh for 2027, we already previewed it last month when the automaker posted photos to social media.
Today, we're bringing you the full reveal from the New York International Auto Show, which introduces updated styling and minor interior changes to the Pacifica—including a new logo for Chrysler—as the van approaches a full decade on the market.
Originally launched for the 2017 model year and then significantly updated in 2021, Chrysler is pitching the updated van as a preview of its future design direction.
The most noticeable update comes at the front, where higher trims—including Select, Limited, and Pinnacle—gain a redesigned fascia. This includes new vertical LED headlights, an illuminated Chrysler badge, and a revised grille with what the brand describes as “piano key” lighting elements.
However, entry-level models retain the old front-end design, meaning two different looks will coexist within the Pacifica lineup—a deeply unusual approach. I guess that's one way to do things if you don't actually have different vehicles to sell.
Beyond the front end, changes are minimal. The profile remains unchanged, while the rear receives slight updates to the lighting elements.
Inside, Chrysler is highlighting new trim finishes, the new steering wheel badge, and an exclusive Blue Agave interior for the range-topping Pinnacle model. Otherwise, the dashboard layout, controls, and overall design are the same as before. Chrysler has added a few incremental updates, including a height-adjustable power liftgate, improved camera views, and rear-seat entertainment options.
Despite its age, the Pacifica remains unique in the segment. No other van offers second-row seats that fold completely into the floor. It’s also the only minivan available with a conventional combustion engine and all-wheel drive—a compelling argument for families looking at three-row all-wheel-drive SUVs when they should really just get a van.
The other all-wheel-drive minivan, the Toyota Sienna, is a hybrid affair and uses an electric motor to drive the rear wheels, unlike the Pacifica, which uses a conventional power transfer unit and rear differential.
The Pacifica takes power from the familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, producing 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.
2027 Chrysler Pacifica: All The Details
2027 Chrysler Pacifica Pricing | FWD | AWD |
|---|---|---|
LX | $41,495 | N/A |
Select | $44,545 | $47,890 |
Limited | $49,705 | $53,050 |
Pinnacle | $54,910 | $58,255 |
AutoGuide's Take:
While the facelift is nice, that doesn't change any of the fundamental challenges facing the Pacifica in today's market.
The Toyota Sienna offers hybrid power exclusively, and it delivers significantly better fuel economy while starting in the same ballpark as the Chrysler. Kia Carnival raised the bar for interior design and technology, while the Honda Odyssey should probably be considered the benchmark in the segment.

Too little, too late. No updates to an already very dated dash & drivetrain. Still black as the only interior with full Stow-n-Go (fold-flat) seating. Sadly it looks like the death throes of a once proud brand :(
That front end looks worse than the old one.
