Hi, I’m Jana, and this is a real mom car tour of a brand-new Cadillac. This is the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq—a luxury three-row electric SUV.
In this quick tour, I’m going to take you around the outside, show you the inside, and we’re even taking it for a spin. I’ll tell you what I liked and what you need to know. So buckle up—let’s do it.
Powertrain and Specs
This is where I normally say “under the hood,” but there’s really not much up front because there’s no front trunk. All of your storage is in the rear cargo area, and there’s also a large subfloor compartment—but I’m getting ahead of myself.
The Vistiq is powered by a dual electric motor setup, offering about 305 miles of range. It produces up to 500 horsepower when you activate Velocity Max mode, which isn’t something you’d use every day, but it’s there when you need a burst of speed.
Exterior Design: A Baby Escalade
If this vehicle looks familiar, it’s because it’s basically a baby Escalade. The front end is almost identical to the Escalade IQ, which is larger and much more expensive.
So if you love the Cadillac EV design language but don’t want to spend $125,000+, the Vistiq starts around $77,000, and you still get that bold styling.
You have:
The signature Cadillac grille design
Animated LED lighting
Welcome lighting that carries through the design, like the Lyriq and Optiq
Illuminated door handles that pop out and light up at night
It’s a really striking look—and honestly, I think “baby Escalade” fits perfectly.
Charging and Range
You get 305 miles of range on a full charge.
On a DC fast charger, Cadillac claims you can add about 80 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
And if you want access to the Tesla Supercharger Network, GM offers an adapter for about $225.
But realistically, most of us drive less than 30 miles a day, so you’ll probably be charging this at home in the garage.
Interior Highlights and Technology
Today I’m driving the Premium Luxury trim, and you can absolutely tell.
Inside, the Vistiq feels genuinely upscale. Highlights include:
A stunning 33-inch panoramic display, standard on every model
A 23-speaker Harman AKG sound system, with speakers built into the headrests
A customizable digital layout, so you can display maps, energy use, or driver assistance features
Available night vision, which is especially useful in areas with wildlife
The cabin is modern, clean, and very premium.
Super Cruise and Augmented Reality HUD
I’ve made no secret that I love Super Cruise hands-free driving, and Cadillac has updated the system here.
Now, when you're using adaptive cruise control, it’s smarter about adjusting speed based on changing speed limits. For example, if the highway shifts from 55 mph to 70 mph, the Vistiq will smoothly bring you up to speed.
You can even set preferences like:
Stay 5 mph over the limit
Drive slightly under the limit
Customize behavior in settings
Super Cruise works seamlessly with lane-centering, adaptive cruise, and even while trailering.
New for the Vistiq is an augmented reality head-up display, which projects guidance not only on the windshield but farther out in your line of sight—about 10 meters ahead. It can show predictive lane guidance and directional arrows.
It takes some getting used to, but you can turn it off if you prefer.
Ride and Driving Impressions
The Vistiq comes standard with:
All-wheel drive
22-inch wheels (23s available depending on trim)
Adaptive air-ride suspension
And it feels exactly like a Cadillac should—smooth, quiet, and almost like floating on a cloud.
This particular vehicle, as tested, comes in around $91,800, or about $92,000.
That puts it closer to Escalade territory, so it raises the question: would you spend $91K on a luxury three-row EV family SUV? Let me know.
Velocity Max mode is activated with this red “V” button on the steering wheel, giving you that extra burst of power when you need to pass or merge quickly.
Super Cruise Demonstration
Once Super Cruise engages, the system turns green and fully centers you in the lane.
At that point:
Feet off the pedals
Hands off the wheel
Fully hands-free cruising
It’s incredibly easy and very confidence-inspiring.
Second Row and Third Row Access
Like any good family SUV, you can choose either:
A second-row bench seat
Or captain’s chairs
These second-row seats are on rails, so they slide forward and back depending on who needs more legroom. They also recline.
The best part is the power tilt feature that makes third-row access much easier.
In the third row, the space is surprisingly good. I’m 5'7", and my knees aren’t jammed into the seat. If you slide the second row back further, legroom improves even more.
Kids can also exit through the center aisle if you have captain’s chairs, which makes carpool life easier.
Second Row Luxury Features
Luxury doesn’t stop in the second row. You get:
Heated quilted synthetic leather seats
Individual climate control for each row
An 8-inch touchscreen for rear passengers
USB-C charging ports and a household plug
Plenty of vents throughout the cabin
It’s a very comfortable setup.
Cargo Space and Storage
Cargo room is solid, and you can fold the third row down with the touch of a button. The second row can fold as well.
The subfloor storage is massive—I was able to fit my entire backpack inside and still close it easily.
This is the perfect spot for:
Charging cables
Strollers
Extra gear
Anything you want hidden away
Final Thoughts
So what do you think of the new Cadillac Vistiq?
I’ve really enjoyed my time with it, and I would absolutely consider one if I were shopping for a luxury three-row EV SUV.
Would you choose this over something like the Rivian R1S, or even the Kia EV9, which isn’t quite luxury but offers similar space and range?
Let me know in the comments.
And as usual, if you can handle this brand of chaos, you can find me on TikTok and Instagram, and at realmomcartours.com.
For me and the Vistiq, that’s all I’ve got.
Thanks for watching.
