Audi officially showed off its fully redesigned, third-generation Q7 and high-performance SQ7 last month.
There's a new engine to go with the SUV's new exterior styling and overhauled dual-screen cockpit. The German brand has now released updated pricing—all that new hardware brings a striking adjustment to the bottom line: the base price of the entry-level model has officially shot up by nearly $9,000.
The massive leap in the Q7’s cost of entry is primarily a byproduct of Audi simplifying the engine choices. The automaker has permanently retired the sluggish and unloved 261-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder base engine; also gone is the previously optional 3.0-liter V6 engine, which made 335 hp.
For 2027, every single tier of the standard Q7 lineup now ships with a potent 429-horsepower twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine. Supported by a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive, the updated V6 drops the luxury SUV's 0-60 mph sprint down to a sports-sedan-like 4.8 seconds.
