Porsche's Latest Manthey 911 GT3 RS Is Faster By An Unspecified Amount

Manthey Racing has unleashed a new performance package for the Porsche 992 GT3 RS.


The $80,300 kit—yes, EIGHTY THOUSAND DOLLARS—transforms the GT3 RS into an even more aerodynamically aggressive machine, capable of generating over 2,200 pounds of downforce at 177 mph—more than 300 pounds beyond the stock car's capability.


Key to this enhancement is a 25% lighter carbon rear panel with a vertical dorsal fin inspired by Porsche's 963 LMDh endurance race car. This addition improves cornering stability while redirecting warm air from the radiators, ensuring colder air reaches the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine.

The kit also includes extensive aerodynamic updates, such as wheel-arch Gurney flaps, dive planes, a wider rear diffuser, and larger wing end plates. Carbon aero wheel covers smooth airflow around the rear wheels, while a stiffer suspension and racing brake pads enhance handling and stopping power.


Manthey, which collaborated with Porsche’s Weissach R&D team, hasn’t yet challenged the stock GT3 RS’s Nürburgring record of 6:49.3 due to poor weather but promises a significant improvement when conditions allow.

The package is available through Porsche dealers, targeting those ready to add even more performance to their $241,300 base GT3 RS—do keep in mind, this is for the 992 GT3 RS, not the recently released 992.2 GT3, which the RS model hasn't been released yet.
