Ford Recalls 2017 Escape a Second Time
Ford is recalling 18,124 examples of the 2017 Escape SUV for a second time. These Escapes were part of a previous recall that did not solve the issue at hand: power-operated windows that may exert excessive force when encountering an object, before they automatically reverse. They sound like quite the finger pinchers.
To properly solve the problem, Ford dealers will update the power window operating system software, free of charge. Owners of these 2017 Escapes should have letters mailed to them by July 6. 2026. For now, customers may contact customer service at 1-866-436-7332.
