Jaguar Land Rover has issued a recalled for 2,278 versions of the brand's 2020-2021 Jaguar I-PACE all electric vehicle. The issue centers around the high voltage battery that may overheat and potentially catch on fire.

Jaguar has listed some specific instructions for those in possession of the affect vehicles until a fix is in place. Owners of the I-PACE SUVs falling under the recall should:

  • Park outside and away from structures
  • Charge outside
  • Limit their charge to a maximum of 90%

For the time being, a battery software updated will be performed by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update. This will put a hard charge limit of 90% on the battery. The final fix for this issue is still being worked on.

Owners of I-PACE vehicles affected by the safety risk are expected to have letters mailed by April 3, 2026. A second letter will be sent once a final solution is in place. For now, customers can contact Jaguar's customer service at 1-800-452-4827.
