Ford Recalls the Recall on the Focus and Fusion
Ford is recalling 5,252 versions of the 2015-2018 Focus and 2013-2016 Fusion cars that were previously repaired incorrectly under a previous recall. The initial problem has to do with the clutch that may fracture, resulting in damage to the transmission assembly and possibly a transmission fluid leak.
To finally solve the problem, Ford dealers will update the software, free of charge. Affected owners should receive notification letters mailed by July 6, 2026. For now, customers can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332.

So, in order to keep the unit from going crazy and fracturing the clutch Ford is going to use software to fix the problem??!!
What are they going to do? - detune the engine so it can't rev anywhere near high enough to grenade things?!
I owned a 2015 Fusion Sport and I was told by the dealer they could not upgrade the GPS because it was to old and the upgrade would fail which would cost ME $3500 to fix.
Worst thing Ford ever did was get into computers.
