The Nissan Armada is heavily redesigned this year. It now has blockier, more aggressive styling that has some hints of Range Rover to it. The bigger news though is under the hood where a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 now lives, making 425 horsepower. Completing the SUV's transformation, the interior offers more technology and nicer materials.

But how does it stack up against the competition? To find out, we are pitting it against the stalwart of the full-size truck-based SUV segment, the Chevrolet Tahoe. The two SUVs we have on hand are almost identical in as-tested pricing, but trim wise there is a big gap with the Armada appearing to be the better deal. Is it really a value-rich option compared to the Tahoe, or is the Armada a case of you get what you pay for?
