Callaway Sends Off The Silverado 1500 with 602-HP Launch Edition
Callaway Cars and Minnesota-based upfitter Waldoch Crafts are teaming up to give the outgoing fourth-generation Chevrolet Silverado 1500 a high-horsepower send-off. Capping off the current truck's final model year before the redesigned 2027 lineup arrives, the two specialty builders have announced the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado Launch Edition.
Strictly limited to just 100 serialized examples, the truck pairs Callaway's supercharged SC602 powertrain package with Waldoch’s custom styling, chassis tuning, and interior work.
Supercharged V8 Power Meets Custom Upfitting
Each build begins life as a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST powered by GM's 6.2-liter L87 V8. Callaway bolts on its signature TripleCooled 2650cc Roots-type supercharger system alongside high-flow intake and exhaust modifications. The forced-induction setup bumps output to a massive 602 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque.
Waldoch handles the visual and chassis transformations, fitting each truck with:
- A lowered performance suspension setup for enhanced street handling
- Custom Callaway-Waldoch 22-inch lightweight alloy wheels
- Color-keyed rocker extensions and specialized body cladding
- Serialized interior and underhood plaques alongside official documentation
Dealer Ordering and Warranty Coverage
Despite its limited-run tuner status, buying a Launch Edition bypasses the usual third-party upfitting headaches. Authorized Chevrolet dealerships can order the truck directly, with prices starting in the mid-$90,000 range depending on base optioning.
Because the build uses established upfitter channels, buyers retain complete peace of mind. Every Launch Edition carries a 3-year/36,000-mile supplementary warranty covering both Callaway and Waldoch components, running parallel to General Motors' factory coverage.
Deliveries will commence later in 2026, offering buyers a rare, factory-backed collector's piece as GM prepares its next-generation full-size truck platform for 2027.

Looking forward to the return of the 350 small block with the next gen truck. Hopefully they have learned the lessons from this last debacle and return the small block to the reputation the LS engines had for bulletproof reliability, as well as the vortec/LT blocks that came before. We know you can do it, GM!
Now Chevy, make it single cab, and cheaper than the $50k Ford 150 roush edition
