Lamborghini Proves The Temerario Is Both Quick and Fast

Recently, Lamborghini hosted a media launch event for the new Temerario at the Estoril track in Portugal. While there, the Italian manufacturer put the new super sports car on the clock and cracked off some impressive times.
Officially, Lamborghini states the new Temerario can accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.7 seconds. We’d wager the 0-60 mph time to be around the 2.5-second mark. As speeds climb, 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) takes less than 7.3 seconds. Keep the throttle pinned and the hybrid supercar will top out at 343 km/h (213 mph).

As a refresher, the new Temerario comes equipped with a 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 capable of reaching an impressive 10,000 rpm. More than just the engine, there are also three electric motors on hand, giving the car a total output of 907 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. That’s serious power, which explains the car’s impressive times above.
Power is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, and there are no fewer than 13 drive modes, including fully electric mode, which can save fuel and cut down on emissions; two things usually not associated with Lamborghini.
The Temerario is about more than just straight-line acceleration, though. The new car has increased aerodynamic load, particularly at the rear, and makes 103% more downforce than the Huracan. With the lighter-weight, more track-focused Alleggerita version, down force further improves to 158% compared to the Huracan.
Around the 13 corners of the 4.36 km-long Estoril track, Lamborghini says the Temerario turned in some impressive pace, but we’ll have to take the brand’s word for it as no lap times were provided.
