Jeep Teases New 'Grille' in an Unlikely Place
Jeep is ready to show off the brand's latest iteration of the famed seven-slot grille, in an unlikely place: the Avenger. Not to be confused with the superhero franchise or the defunct Dodge coupe, the Jeep Avenger is sold in other regions around the world as a small all-electric SUV. This makes it an interesting choice to debut a new grille since, in essence, a battery electric vehicle doesn't really require a traditional grille.
But that's the point, as this new seven-slot grille design is more of a styling exercise than a fully functional air breather. Jeep uses LED lighting to showcase a clean, subtle new take on the seven-slot grille. Or, at least that's the impression we get from the teaser photos shown on this page. How it will look when the entire vehicle is shown, or in daylight, we'll have to wait and see.
