Body-on-frame SUVs are becoming a rare sight on today’s dealer lots.

Given its full-size dimensions and matching price tag, QX80 serves as the Infiniti brand’s default flagship model. It sits atop this Japanese luxury division’s portfolio, or at least its utility-vehicle range.

Infiniti’s head of design, Alfonso Albaisa, has confirmed the Japanese luxury automaker is debuting a new concept at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show.

Infiniti has announced pricing for its 2014 QX50 luxury crossover and QX80 full-size luxury SUV models, with the QX50 starting at $35,395 and the QX80 priced from $62,345 – both prices include a $995 destination and handling fee.

In a surprising move, Infiniti has announced an all-new naming system for its models that will start with its 2014 model year vehicles and beyond.
