We returned our Honda CR-V long-term tester a few weeks ago now, so we wanted to wrap it up with some final impressions.

Even though we had the 2017 Audi A4 for only three months, it started to feel like part of our family, a comfortable fit for our life, but still somehow special in a way we appreciated everyday – despite any little quirks and flaws.

Of all the comparisons we planned for the 2017 Honda CR-V, the Mazda CX-5 might just be its toughest test.

Before we dive into our next comparison, we thought we’d provide a little update on the Honda CR-V‘s service as the AutoGuide.com shuttle extraordinaire.

After winning its first comparison against the Mercedes-Benz C300, we took the Audi A4 out for a bit of a road trip, where we played around with the Audi Virtual Cockpit and MMI infotainment system.

On paper, the 2017 Honda CR-V appears to be the perfect vehicle for our family.

With this generation, the Audi A4 might just be going through an existential crisis. A conservatively designed sedan with a luxurious interior and a premium badge on the nose is a luxury car right?

Wrapping up our CX-9 long-term test, we look back at the highlights and flaws in Mazda’s flagship crossover.

While the automotive marketplace moves frantically toward crossovers of every size, shape and sporting intent, the sedan is not yet forgotten or ignored, especially in the luxury bracket.

After three months in the CX-9, we’ve gotten to know the technology of this flagship Mazda very well, and it is time for us to weigh in on how well they’ve executed the various systems that help Mazda keep pace in the tech race.

Time flies. It seems like just yesterday we picked up our long-term Mazda CX-5 with a little over 600 miles on the odometer. But it is now nearly half a year later, our three-month evaluation period turned into four months during which time we drove nearly 8,000 miles behind the wheel of the CX-5.

Mazda is known for its great handling vehicles, and the CX-5 is no exception. The ‘zoom zoom’ philosophy is implemented fully on this small crossover, which returns great turn-in feel and less understeer than you might expect from something in this class.

But the majority of people buying one of these probably don’t care about that. How then, does the CX-5 fare in the real world, hauling family, friends and gear.
