Kristine Rodas, widow of Roger Rodas who was killed in the same fiery crash that claimed actor Paul Walker’s life late last year has filed a lawsuit against Porsche claiming the Carrera GT her husband was driving had a faulty suspension part, which resulted in the accident.

It’s been months since the tragic news of Paul Walker’s death hit the Internet, but now investigators can confirm that speed was the deciding factor and that there were no mechanical issues with the Porsche Carrera GT.

According to a recent report, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has called upon Porsche engineers to examine what’s left of Paul Walker’s Carrera GT to determine the cause of his fatal accident.

This past weekend, movie star Paul Walker was tragically killed in an accident while riding in a friend’s  Porsche Carrera GT. And while speed was evidently a factor in the accident, could the crash have been the result of a mechanical failure?

Though the car hasn’t been produced since 2006, Porsche has teamed up with Michelin to produce a new set of tires for the German automaker’s Carrera GT.

The newly resurrected Gemballa brand may not be making as many splashes as we would like to see, but they’ve recently returned to their roots with a new Mirage GT edition. Similar to the Matt Black Edition that was seen in 2009, Gemballa has created another version of its modified Porsche Carrera GT, this time in matte blue.

He is widely known for having one of the largest privately owned Porsche collection in the world, but it seems the collection is about to shrink by one.

And just like that, it’s officially official. Just a few days ago we heard through the grapevine that the Gemballa brand was indeed coming back with a new CEO and investors, and with a few typed words from their PR personnel, it’s official. Interestingly enough, Andreas Schwarz (new CEO of Gemballa) has been in control since August 16th, reserving the rights of the old company that had already been liquidated. Schwarz chose to shut that one down and founded Gemballa GmBH.

The search is on for America’s oldest Porsche s to celebrate the company’s 60th Anniversary. Porsche Cars North America has launched the My Classic Porsche Search, focused on finding the oldest Porsches from 12 different model categories. And as icing on the cake, they’re also seeking the very oldest Porsche of all time.

So which 12 models are they searching for? Well, if you’re an owner of a Porsche 356, 911, 912, 914, 924, 928, 944, 968, Boxster, Cayenne, Carrera GT and/or Cayman, and you think you have one of the oldest ones out there head on over to www.porsche60years.com to check out the participation guidelines.

And if you’re selected as one of the official winners, you’ll not only receive special recognition but become eligible for additional awards including an exclusive badge from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart.
