As VinFast’s portfolio continues to expand, the compact VF 7 all-electric SUV will join the brand’s lineup in the next year or so. Like most of its competitors, the VF 7 will be available with two-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and two different levels of power.
VinFast’s ambition’s for entry into the North America market are high. But if all the upcoming models make it to our shores, legacy OEMs better be on notice.

VinFast Releases Details On VF6 And VF7; Aims To Deliver New Models By End Of 2023
The Vietnamese EV startup wants to bring two more models to North American shores.
VinFast has already started delivering copies of its VF8 midsize EV crossover, but that doesn’t mean it will let hands stay idle. Nope, it’s brought the forthcoming compact VF7 and subcompact VF6 to CES, along with specifications.
Starting off with the VinFast VF6, the roughly 167-inch long EV seems to be aimed squarely at the Chevy Bolt EV. It will only come in single-motor, front-wheel-drive trim, with either 174 horsepower in “Eco” trim, or 201 horsepower in “Plus” trim. VinFast aims for the VF6 to achieve 248 miles in Eco trim, or 237 miles in Plus trim, all from an onboard 59.6-kilowatt-hour battery.
