2027 Range Rover Electric Debuts with 542 HP and 333-Mile Range

The Range Rover Electric has officially arrived for the 2027 model year.

The play electrfies Land Rover’s flagship luxury SUV for the first time in the nameplate's 57-year history. Smartly, Land Rover kept visual departures minimal compared to the combustion model. A unique front grille, aerodynamically optimized wheels, and flush underbody cladding differentiate the EV while smoothing airflow underneath.

Inside, the cabin layout carries over virtually unchanged, preserving the exact same interior dimensions, luxury trim options, and seating layouts.

Range Rover EV Output and Off-Road Tech

A twin-motor setup delivers full-time all-wheel drive, generating 542 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque—unsurprisingly making it the most torque-rich Range Rover in the lineup. Land Rover claims a 0 to 60 mph sprint time of just 4.3 seconds.

Land Rover integrated a specialized traction-management system capable of adjusting motor torque in as little as 50 milliseconds, reacting up to 100 times faster than a conventional mechanical driveline. Drivers can also access single-pedal driving for precise, low-speed throttle control on steep off-road descents. The Range Rover EV retains the gas-powered model's full 35-inch water-wading capability and rides on similar height-adjustable air suspension.

Range Rover EV Battery Capacity, Range, and Fast Charging

Power comes from a 118.5-kWh usable battery pack, which yields an EPA-estimated range of 333 miles.

Built on an 800-volt electrical architecture, the SUV supports 350-kW DC fast charging. Plugged into a maximum-output charger, the pack recharges from 10 to 80 percent in 22 minutes, adding up to 125 miles of range in 10 minutes.

North American models come equipped with a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port for direct plug-and-charge access at Tesla Superchargers. Owners can also access climate pre-conditioning, cabin air purification, and battery status remotely via a dedicated smartphone app.

Range Rover EV Pricing and Launch Models

The 2027 Range Rover Electric carries a starting price of $140,550 including destination fees. That positions the EV at a premium over the entry-level $115,750 gasoline V6 variant, sitting roughly $9,200 above the plug-in hybrid P550e.

A Launch-year First Edition version will be offered in Belgravia Green, Santorini Black, or Varesine Blue exterior paint. First Edition models come trimmed in a Light Cloud interior layout featuring Ultrafabric non-leather upholstery, though traditional genuine leather options and full factory Bespoke customization packages are, naturally, available.
