Kia Announces Pricing For EV3, The Cheapest EV It Will Sell In America
Kia has officially released U.S. market pricing for the 2027 EV3, marking a new entry point for the brand's electric vehicle lineup. Positioned beneath the larger EV6 and EV9, the compact crossover arrives with a starting price under $30,000, severely undercutting the discontinued Niro EV.

EV3 Model Hierarchy and Powertrain Specifications
The EV3 lineup spans five core trim levels: Light, Wind, Land, GT-Line, and GT. Standard models utilize a front-wheel-drive single motor producing 201 horsepower, while all-wheel-drive configurations employ a dual-motor setup generating 261 horsepower. The range-topping GT trim boosts output to 288 horsepower alongside sport-tuned suspension and steering calibrations.
- Standard Battery: The base EV3 Light features a 58.3-kWh battery pack delivering an EPA-estimated range of 221 miles.
- Long-Range Battery: Wind and Land models step up to an 81.4-kWh battery pack, raising single-charge driving range to 321 miles in front-wheel-drive trim and 280 miles with all-wheel drive.
- Charging Hardware: All North American models ship with a built-in Native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, allowing direct connection to NACS chargers without an adapter. On 350-kW DC fast chargers, replenishment from 10 to 80 percent takes approximately 31 minutes.

EV3 Trim Content and Cabin Equipment
Standard interior equipment across the EV3 family includes nearly 30 inches of combined digital dashboard real estate, comprising a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment display, and a 5.0-inch climate control screen.
Mid-tier Wind and Land trims add synthetic leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a power sunroof. Sportier GT-Line and GT variants include Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) external power capability, a Harman Kardon audio system, a 12.0-inch head-up display, and 19-inch alloy wheels with neon-green brake calipers on the GT model. An optional Nightfall Package introduces darkened exterior trim, black 19-inch wheels, and dark interior accents.
