2025 Jeep Wagoneer Gains Hot Rod Overland Special Edition

Jeep has introduced the 2025 Wagoneer Overland Special Edition at the New York Auto Show. It's a limited-run take that ups the SUV's off-road credentials.
Key Points
- The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer Overland Special Edition gains off-road capability with 32-inch all-terrain tires, Quadra-Lift air suspension, and a two-speed transfer case.
- Limited to 2,000 units, the Overland model features exclusive blacked-out styling, Nappa leather interior, and expanded tech, including Jeep Off-Road Pages+ with trail guides.
- Starting at $72,740 (excluding destination), it debuts at the 2025 New York Auto Show and Easter Jeep Safari, with orders now open at U.S. dealerships.
The Overland model retains the standard Hurricane Twin Turbo I6 engine delivering 420 horsepower under the hood—it will be limited to just 2,000 units, with prices starting at $72,740 before destination.
Based on the Wagoneer Series II trim, the Overland Special Edition rides on 32-inch all-terrain tires mounted on 20-inch wheels and includes Jeep’s Quadra-Drive II 4x4 system with a two-speed transfer case and electronic limited-slip differential as standard. This includes Jeep's Selec-Terrain traction management software, which includes Rock Mode and Selec-Speed Control for low-speed maneuvering on steep hills.
Standard driver assistance features include Blind-spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Path detection, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Management, and Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking.
Overland models also include Quadra-Lift air suspension, which offers up to 10 inches of ground clearance, and the Heavy Duty Trailer Tow Package, which rates it for 10,000 lbs of towing. Additional hardware includes skid plates protecting the front axle, transfer case, and fuel tank.
Visually, the Overland Special Edition gets a black-painted roof—new to the Wagoneer line—and darkened exterior brightwork, including the grille, wheel flares, and badges. Roof rail crossbars are standard, as are front and rear tow hooks and a 360-degree camera system.
The cabin gets Nappa leather seating for all three rows and a tri-pane panoramic sunroof. Like other Wagoneers, the Overland runs Jeep’s Uconnect 5 infotainment system displayed on a 10.1-inch screen, paired with a full digital gauge cluster.
Drivers and passengers have access to an in-vehicle app hub known as AppMarket, which includes connected services and partner apps like Geocaching and The Dyrt. For off-road navigation, the Wagoneer Overland Special adds Jeep Off-Road Pages+ with a two-year trial of Adventure Guides developed in collaboration with Trails Off-Road. The service provides access to over 200 trail maps.
Production of the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer Overland Special Edition is already underway, with orders open at Jeep dealerships across the U.S.
